9/5/2016 With the slogan “come to build the new Leoforos”, the president of Panathinaikos Giannis Alafouzos, displays plans of the upcoming renovation of the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” stadium. The stadium will be gradually renovated, starting June 2016, it will have two-storey stands increasing the capacity to 20,000 seats and will cost a total of €15 million. The study is made by the architects Maria Kokkinou and Andreas Kourkoulas. One week later, on 16/5/2016, SKAI TV will host a three-hour show called “PAO … Leoforos” where the amount of € 1,500,000 will be collected by Panathinaikos fans. At some point, PAO’s president, Yannis Alafouzos is asked to announce the collected money so far. The number he “invented” is translated as “five hundred one-hundred thirty five thousand euros”, causing a great deal of laughs to the audience

9/5/2007 The new Wembley stadium is completed. 72-year-old English architect Norman Foster, knighted in 1990, and his office were the designers of the 90.000-seat stadium, the second largest in Europe after Camp Nou, and the largest in the world with every seat under cover.
