Olympiacos’ Marko Marin gets 6-mln-euro offer from China

It appears particularly difficult for Marko Marin to stay at Olympiacos, as the offer he has got from China is… out of this world. The attempt by Red Star Belgrade to sign the German player is also a long shot, as the Chinese are offering him five times as much.

The Serbian club has raised its offer to 1.2 million euros per year, but an unnamed Chinese club is offering him 6 million euros per annum.

Therefore it is only the MLS that could match such an offer in financial terms, plus the fact that Marin would play in the more competitive US league, and enjoy better living standards for his family.

However we need to wait and see what his decision will be. He is still 29 years old and two seasons in China would sort out his finances for life. However he has repeatedly asserted his wish to end his career at the Red Star.
