Lucas Boyé, the Argentine striker of Torino is coming to strengthen AEK’s attack that has shown some serious problems in the first few friendlies.
Sources say that the Yellows have already reached a verbal agreement with Torino for signing the 22-year-old who holds an Italian passport and have sent all contracts signed for the Italians to add their signatures and the deal to be sealed.
Boyé, who is 1.78 metres tall, has a contract for two more years at Torino and will arrive on a one-season loan with an option to buy next summer.
AEK have managed to halve the buy-out clause from the original level of 12 million euros to 6 million. This season they will pay the Argentine 600,000 euros plus bonuses, in a one-plus-six-years deal to be renewed automatically once AEK cover the buy-out clause.
Scouters speak of a player who is technically very good, he is excellent in one-on-one situations and a great team player. He is right-footed and features both as a centre forward and on the wings.
Boyé started out at River Plate and entered its first-team roster in 2014. He was then loaned out to Newell’s Old Boys and in February 2016 he moved to Torino.
He has played 47 games with the Italian club, scored three goals and distributed three assists across all competitions in those two years.
Last January he was loaned out to Celta Vigo in Spain, recording 13 matches in La Liga, a total of 266 minutes of play, without scoring.
